She was a member of the Levi’s retirees and loved cooking, canning, and traveling as well as spending time with her grandchildren, she was also a former Sunday School teacher and Bible school worker with her church.

 

She is survived by her Son; Roby Phillippi and wife Carol, Mountain City, Tennessee, three sisters, Wanda Davis (John) Mountain City, Tennessee; Earlene Defilippis, Lynda Sutherland (Ron) Mountain City, Tennessee Daughter in Law Faye Phillippi Mountain City, Tennessee. Grandchildren; Jeff Phillippi, Maggie Kendrick, Richie Phillippi, Rob Phillippi, Dee Phillippi, Lisa Clawson, Jennifer Jones, Jessica Phillippi, Jermey Phillippi, and Jamie Phillippi. Many Great and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that gifts be made to Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go in memory of Virginia. This can be done by sending a check to: Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go, P.O. Box 186, Watauga, TN 37694.

Virginia Phillippi, age 90 of 254 Cross Mountain Road, in Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Friday March 6th, 2020 at her residence.  Virginia was an employee of Levi Strauss and a charter member of the Bethany Baptist Church. She was born October 18th, 1929 in Doe Valley and was preceded in death by her parents, Sigh “S.C” Mullins and Ina Lee Mullins; Her husband; Edwin “Tuck” Phillippi, three sons; Harold Phillippi, Bob Phillippi, and Jim Phillippi. Three brothers; Curtis Mullins, Chet Mullins, and Sanford Mullins.
